Handcrafted Fine Raden Lacquered Saya with Natural Horn Fittings｜Koshirae-Grade Finish

This handcrafted saya features a fine raden lacquer finish—an intricate surface treatment using micro-particles of luminous shell inlay (raden) scattered densely across a black lacquer base. The result is a refined, almost celestial shimmer, with countless iridescent fragments that catch the light and shift between shades of silver, blue, and green, evoking the image of stardust or a night sky.

The koiguchi (mouth), kurigata (cord knob), and kojiri (end cap) are crafted from polished natural horn, providing both structural strength and subtle organic beauty. Every saya is individually handmade, ensuring precision, visual harmony, and lasting durability. The overall presentation is clean, understated, and radiant—ideal for mounting as part of a complete koshirae, or admired on its own as a lacquered art object.
