This handcrafted saya features a Kin Ryūhen-nuri Raden (金流変塗螺鈿) finish—an extraordinary lacquer technique where golden patterns flow dynamically across the surface, enhanced with luminous raden (shell inlay). The interplay of flowing gold textures with iridescent shell fragments creates a dramatic yet refined visual impression, reminiscent of molten gold or celestial streams of light.

The koiguchi (mouth), kurigata (cord knob), and kojiri (end cap) are crafted from polished natural horn, adding both strength and natural beauty. Each saya is individually handmade, ensuring structural durability, harmony, and unique artistry. This saya is ideal for mounting as part of a complete koshirae or as a standalone lacquered art piece.
