Custom Tsuka Hiranami Blue Silk Morotsumami-maki | Blackened Cupronickel Hiranami Fuchi Kashira | Blackened Cupronickel Wave Menuki | Genuine Japanese Silk(正絹)
The Custom Tsuka Hiranami Blue Silk Morotsumami-maki is individually made to suit the customer’s existing Nakago.
It features blackened cupronickel Hiranami Fuchi Kashira and matching blackened cupronickel wave Menuki. The dark, aged fittings contrast beautifully with the natural white Samegawa and deep blue Genuine Japanese Silk(正絹), creating a refined and well-balanced appearance.
The wooden Tsuka core is fully wrapped in genuine Samegawa, with a prominent emperor node positioned beneath the open diamonds. Traditional Morotsumami-maki(諸摘巻) creates crisp folds, clearly defined diamonds and a structured finish..

Custom-Made for Your Nakago
Each Tsuka is made according to clear photographs and accurate measurements of the customer’s existing Nakago.
Please provide:
- Clear photographs of both sides of the Nakago
- Photographs of the Ha-side and Mune-side
- A clear photograph of the Nakago-jiri
- Photographs of the Mekugi-ana from both sides
- Nakago length, width and thickness measurements
- Mekugi-ana diameter and position
- Desired finished Tsuka length
The Tsuka length, external profile and Menuki position can be adjusted according to the individual project.
Because the physical Nakago is not available for direct fitting, minor final adjustment may be required after the completed Tsuka is received. Accurate photographs and measurements are essential for achieving the best possible fit.
