The Historical Reconstruction Collection brings together handcrafted projects inspired by historically significant Japanese sword fittings, mountings and decorative metalwork.

Each project begins with historical research and digital reconstruction before being produced through traditional metalworking techniques. Rather than mechanically duplicating historical objects, every reconstruction is independently developed to preserve the artistic character and craftsmanship of the original reference while remaining a newly handcrafted work.

Projects within this collection may be based on public-domain historical objects, museum collection records, auction archives, academic publications or customer-authorised reference materials.

Every reconstruction represents a combination of historical research, digital craftsmanship and traditional hand finishing, creating works that honour the legacy of Japanese sword artisans while remaining suitable for modern collectors.
