This handcrafted saya features a striking Kinkin-nuri lacquer finish—a decorative technique in which golden droplets are scattered across a deep black surface, creating the appearance of falling gold or blooming firebursts. Each drop forms a natural, organic pattern that catches the light from different angles, producing a rich, dynamic visual effect.

The koiguchi (mouth), kurigata (cord knob), and kojiri (end cap) are crafted from polished natural horn, providing both durability and refined texture. Every saya is individually handmade, ensuring structural integrity, fine detail, and aesthetic balance. Its bold, luminous finish makes it an excellent choice for mounting as part of a complete koshirae, or as a stand-alone piece of lacquered art.
