This handcrafted saya features a traditional Fuemaki (笛巻塗) lacquer finish, distinguished by its alternating glossy black lacquer and finely textured horizontal bands that create the appearance of a wrapped bamboo flute. The koiguchi (mouth), kurigata (cord knob), and kojiri (end cap) are crafted from polished natural horn, providing exceptional structural strength while preserving the organic beauty of traditional materials.
