This handcrafted saya features a Kin Nashiji-nuri (金梨子地塗) finish—a traditional Japanese lacquer technique where fine gold powder is sprinkled densely across the surface, creating a texture reminiscent of pear-skin (nashiji). The result is a refined golden shimmer, radiant yet understated, with a timeless elegance highly prized in classical koshirae.

The koiguchi (mouth), kurigata (cord knob), and kojiri (end cap) are made from polished natural horn, providing both strength and organic harmony. Each saya is individually handmade, ensuring balance, durability, and refined beauty. Perfect for complete koshirae mounting or as a lacquered art piece on its own.
